A vintage Venetian glass bead necklace, dating to 1920 - 1940, and in excellent condition. Featuring a row of deep, burgundy magenta red Venetian glass wedding cake beads and paler, raspberry-pink Venetian glass beads. The wedding cake beads are richly decorated with blue glass, glittery copper / gold glass, and clear, amber-yellow glass. The alternating pale raspberry-pink glass beads are decorated with swirls of paler, almost white glass. The beads are 5/8" by 1/2", and 1/2" by 3/8". Tiny raspberry-pink spacer beads complete the row. The necklace measures 21 1/2" in length, and is in superb condition. The beads may have been re-strung at some time. The necklace wears beautifully, and looks fabulous around the neck. And in such gorgeous colors.
