This is a beautiful, antique English sterling silver and marcasite bracelet, dating to the very early 1900s, and in excellent original condition. Featuring nine, linked, flower and leaves panels, each one beautifully worked in the form of a rose-bud and leaves, and set with sparkling marcasites. The bracelet measures 7" in length, and 5/16" wide. The clasp is an invisible, tongue and box clasp, and there is a fitted safety chain. Condition is excellent - although there is a home-made cotton repair to the safety chain, which appears to be very strong and sound. These home-made repairs are often to be found on old chains - the owner has lovingly - and very patiently ! - repaired a broken link with a needle and cotton. Personally, I love to see these repairs - it just adds history and "soul" to an antique piece, and is testament to the piece having been treasured and loved.
