About Us
I am a collector of antique and vintage jewellery. Costume, cocktail, fine, or "popular" jewellery - I collect it all. The combination of craftsmanship, quality, and "uniqueness", together with the social history that comes with every piece of vintage jewellery, is why I love the subject so much.
I have a few suffragette pieces, which are much loved and treasured, which, to me, epitomize the social history aspect of collecting. To me, they just ooze "soul" !
I tend to lean towards the Victorian and Edwardian periods, but do have a large collection spanning other periods, including some rather special Miriam Haskell pieces. Basically, if it is unusual, attractive and good quality, I love it. I also have some beautiful, and very special, examples from the Georgian period; and items as modern as the 1960's.
