Rare Antique Gutta Percha Page Turner

i am presenting to you today this rare and unusual object, an antique page turner from the late 19th century made of gutta percha. It is 10" in length. Often these objects were made of silver or ivory, but I've never seen a gutta percha one. Gutta percha was most often used to house photographs, commonly called Union Cases, but was also molded into every day objects such as hand mirrors, boxes and now a page turner. This material is the forerunner of modern day plastic and was made from tree resin. This lovely object has a deep brown color with pretty molded flowers and leaves added to the top portion.. It measures 10" in length and is 1" wide. Use as a bookmark or letter opener, or display piece on your antique desk. Makes a great gift for a bookworm.

Condition is excellent with some very minor scratching to the thermoplastic.

I've estimated 2 pounds packed weight because of its length. Obviously if this is able to be shipped. adequately packed for under a pound, I'll refund any excess postage (I don't charge for packing materials or profit on shipping) .
