This is another fine miniature from the New Jersey estate of a noted collector of fine miniature art.

Here we have "Dr. Stumpf" identified on the back and signed by the artist, A. Ruger. The back identifies the artist as Amalie Ruger and puts a date of 1934.

The doctor is a very handsome gentleman with his gray moustache and goatee, very distinguished indeed. The painting is beautifully executed with delicate brushstrokes. He is attired in a gray suit and tie and is placed on a lovely shaded blue background.

The fine oval frame is made of brass, with a foliate scrolled border and a top hanging loop..

The piece measures 3 1/2" by 3" without the loop. It is in excellent condition.
