Apollo Studios Gilded Brass Portrait Powder Jar With Painted Miniature and Glass Insert

This stunning powder jar of gilded brass ormolu was made by Apollo Studios at the beginning of the 20th century. The lid has a hand painted portrait of a Victorian lady in a pink hat. It is surrounded by beautiful raised metal work designs on a black enamel background. The base has beautiful metal work designs of urns and scrolls.

The piece has a removable glass insert and was used to hold power or creams. The underside is marked Apollo 3478.

It measures 4 1/2" in diameter and is 2 1/2" tall.

It is in excellent shape with no dings or wear to the metal or paint.
