This charming desktop stationary holder or blotting paper holder would make a lovely addition to your papier mache collection. Made in England in the middle of the 19th century the Victorians kept them on their desks to hold the blotting paper to remove excess ink. Nowadays it would work great as a stationary holder on your desk.

This lovely example has a hand painted floral bouquet as a centerpiece. There are pretty red and yellow flowers and green leaves and several cut out pieces of mother of pearl enhancing the design. The border is surrounded by mother of pearl leaves, making this a very lovely object.

The blotter measures 9" by 6". The condition both inside and out is excellent(see pictures).
