Lovely French Old Paris Dresser Jar

Presenting, for your collection, a hard paste porcelain piece of Old Paris. This powder or dresser jar stands 3 inches high and 3 3/4 inches wide. The hinged lid has beautiful brass fittings. This Victorian piece dates from the mid 19th century and has a delightful hand painted scene on its lid of two children running through the woods. The base of the jar shows delicate flowers painted all around in beautiful pastel colors, with trim in a beautiful pink hue, with gilding. This piece would make a great addition to anyone's vanity.

The condition is excellent. Gilding and paint are all intact, with a good working hinge. Some minimal wear to the underside porcelain, commensurate with the age of this piece.
