This delightful little creature sits on a branch and peers out at the world. Perhaps used as a watch holder it dates to the late 19th century. The base has a raised floral and leaf design and measures 2 1/4" by 1 3/4". The owl itself measures 1 3/4" tall and the entire piece stands 4 1/4" tall. The underside has four feet and says Hartford Silverplate Co. Quadruple plate. Silverplate was used quite frequently at this time period and all kinds of objects were made from it.
