Here is a lovely dual purpose item. A lovely vanity piece that holds your powder or jewelry and also serenades you. The box is made of gilded brass ormolu and has a paper label that says Made in France, Paris. Made in France is also carved into the bottom. This early 20th century box has a hinged cover decorated with raised metal work depicting people on horseback. It is surrounded by what appears to be satin or silk in a gold color.
