This is an exceptional Mourning Brooch featuring a tiny glass enclosed compartment with braided Hair. This brooch test 14K with electronic Gold Tester. No identifying marks. The hair is surrounded with 11 tiny turquoise colored glass stones with Chalcedony Center Stone . A very delicate and pretty setting with nice detail. Secure clasp which is locking and which has been altered from the original C by previous owner. This brooch measures approx. 2" by 1 1/2". In very good condition for age well preserved and lovingly stored. I note flaws to the chalcedony which may be viewed in the photos , they may be natural to the stone or age related .
