Gilt Brass Night Light Whimsical Porcelain Girl with Swan Chariot Applied Flowers Gold Detail Vintage Lighting

This light is very whimsical with a young girl sitting atop a swan chariot. The mold is very detailed with the swan's wings feathering up to the opening at the top and large flowers decorating it's tail.

The front side shows tiny flowers applied along the wheel, parts of the swan and the young girls dress. The painting on this is phenomenal! Look at the close up pictures of the girl and swans face.

There is gold highlights over some of the raised areas. The back of the lamp is washed in pastel colors with no other embellishments. Here is where you really see the intricate details of the mold. The porcelain has a nice shiny glaze.

The base is gilt brass and has wonderful rose and floral bands along the top rim areas. This is a two step base and has no corrosion, dents nor damage. The rotary switch is located on the back bottom portion of the base.

The lamp takes a 4 or 7 watt candelabra base light bulb and when plugged in lights right up. The plug and cord have no exterior damage. Light is in nice working condition, but, as with all vintage or antique electrical fixtures, should be checked by a qualified electrician.

This is a beautiful lamp and such a nice find. It would look lovely as a bathroom light as well as a boudoir lamp. We could not find any makers mark but we believe that this is German made.

Dimensions: Porcelain section measures 10" long x 9.5" wide. The base is just short of 10" long x 6.5" wide.

Condition: There is no damage whatsoever.
