A bit of History: Randolph Caldecott (1846-1886) transformed the world of children's books in the Victorian era. Children eagerly awaited the two books illustrated by him, priced at a shilling each, which came out each Christmas for eight years.

Story title is "The Babes In The Wood". Book has beautiful color plates throughout the story. This particular story is a bit of morbid reading for the young. Nonetheless, Randolf Caldecott's child picture books were a big hit. Book has a total of 30 written pages not including hard board cover.
Dimensions: 9.25" high x 8.25" wide
Condition: Spine and front cover bottom right corner shows age related wear. First page bottom right corner has a tear. This item was purchased at a recent estate sale and I will ship it in the plastic protective cover that I purchased it in.
