SALE Porcelain Vanity Tray by Rosenthal Bavaria Moliere c. 1898

Hallmark on the bottom of this piece is the BRC Crown mark which was used at the Rosenthal Factory in Kronach, Germany from 1898-1900. The fancy mold name is Moliere.

This beautiful tray has florals that are a vibrant dark purple and pink which are strewn around interior and on rim. I believe there may have been more gold stenciling on this but due to age it is just a shadow.

The bottom is not glazed. The reason for this was to avoid tray slipping on polished furniture. As you can see, this particular mold featured the "holed" or reticulated areas around the rim. Very pretty!

Dimension: 10" long and 7 3/8" wide.

Condition: There are 2 manufacturing "pops" that I have tried to photograph. There is no damage to this.
