These sugar tongs are really decorative and we believe to be late 1800's from the design. There is a lovely fan shape decoration on the handles of the tongs and the 'claw' area as well. There is no doubt what these were used for as they are made to delicately fit around a sugar cube. One lump or two? These would compliment a nice silver plate tea set. They are marked 'Made In England EPNS A1" and measure 6" in length.

There are also swirls that decorate down the handle to the bowl. Measuring 5.25" long and except for some light scratching on the bowl, this is in nice antique condition.

This is just an outstanding example of a Victorian Bride's Basket or Bride's Bowl. The art glass bowl is pink cased glass with a deeply swagged and ruffled rim. There is a hand painted enameled decoration of flowers and swags on the interior of the bowl. Something you don't really see much of in these items. There is very little wear to this area. We have a lovely silver plated dish that has very pretty pattern of flowers on the rim and just under we see a scrolled frame pattern that points down at the bottom of the dish. The underside shows us that the rim is rolled and some of the interior pattern does show through making this decorative also. The Reed & Barton stamp is on the back. We have this priced right and it is in great condition with some light scratches from age related wear. Over all measurement is 6".
