This antique glass cider pitcher is one of the loveliest we have ever seen. The cobalt blue body reminds us of a pumpkin with it's ribbed design that fattens out at the center. Here we have a gorgeous hand blown glass decanter in the shape of a barber bottle. This hand painted bottle has a bulbous form to the lower body with an elegant neck and original glass stopper. The hand painted decoration is of daisies that wrap around the front half of the body and decorate the top of the stopper. Although unmarked we were able to identify this piece as a Hawkes. If you watch Carol Weir's video on the Cut Glass Collector's site you see her highlight this exact pitcher. We will agree with Carol that this is a lovely example of a cider pitcher. The Brunswick pattern features a triple cut applied handle, a hobstar deep cut pattern on the base and a lovely scalloped rim pattern as well. Our cut glass pitcher is unsigned but don't let that deter you. This is a high quality American Brilliant Period piece right down to it's hobstar bottom. The handle is applied with a notched pattern that moves over to the pitcher itself. You'll also find marquis cut areas with hobstars underneath and quilted patterns on the interior. We did find a flake off the rim and because of this have priced it accordingly. This lovely pitcher stands 7.75" high and is 6.5" wide.

The "H" within a diamond hallmark on this pattern glass bowl tells us that this is a Heisey in the Sunburst pattern which was produced from 1904-1920. The geometric patterns are starburst and fan shapes with a diamond basket weave towards the bottom. There are some scratches on the inside and outside bottom of this item but other than that we can find no other damage. This is a beautiful piece that would grace any table with elegance. This Antique American Glass biscuit barrel has a silver plated bale and lid and is circa 1898-1905. This piece could be either C.F. Monroe or New England Glass Co. Both of these companies acquired basic opalware blanks produced by Mt. Washington and Pairpoint Glass companies. The lid, bail and handle are marked with "The Van Bergh S.P. Co - Quadruple Plate".
