This enchanting print is entitled "Anticipation", and is by the artist Harrison Fisher. A beautiful lady in gossamer pink dress with matching hair bow gazes thoughtfully, contemplating what to wish for under the mistletoe. This print is just beautiful, and the flesh tones are great. It was originally printed in 1912 by Charles Scribner & Sons. The print is in exceptional condition, housed in a contemporary pewter & silver toned frame with high gesso relief, which compliments the print beautifully. The overall size with the frame is aprox 11 x 14 inches. Fisher was a colleague of Charles Dana Gibson, whose renderings of Victorian women are very similar. Both artists were painting about the same time as Paul de Longpre and C. Klein, both floral artists. (Please note: there are plastic corner covers to protect the frame shown in the photo, all of which easily come off.)
