TURKEY Game Bird Painting -- Signed: Severance, c1917 -- Fine Old Oak Frame, Old Glass

This absolutely outstanding painting is of an adult turkey, and is the find of a lifetime! It is done in oil pastel, and the artwork is superb. It is by a listed artist, Severance (Severence), and is dated 1917 lower right corner (see photo closeup provided). The turkey feathers are just incredible, right down to the blue-black so prominent on the bird's plumage. Notice the beard on the chest. The head is very finely detailed. It's as if the turkey was looking right into your eyes! The harvest colors of the background compliment the handsome bird perfectly. Great for the cabin decor, or the hunter. It is in a very old and heavy antique oak frame with a beige mat. The painting is mint. (I do apologize for the glass glare in the photos, as this was very hard to photograph through the glass.) Aprox 26 x 33" framed.
