c1900 Antique Victorian ROSES PRINT - Signed: Walker - Chromolithograph 1/2 Yard Long

This sweet old print is by the Victorian artist, Frances Walker. Walker was a peer of both Paul de Longpre and C. Klein, and her rose studies are just as beautiful. This one has a lovely vertical bouquet in gorgeous hues. It is a half yard long tall, and was an art supplement to the Syracuse Herald on Oct. 28th, 1900. The lithographer was the H. A. Thomas & Wylie Co. of New York. It It is in very good condition with a few handling marks, and hardly seen, very near the edge, light watermarks on the left side near the frame opening edge.

It is framed in a wooden off-white moulding, with three dimensional brass corner brackets that really set the print off nicely. Overall size is 11.5 x 18 inches. Be sure to also look for the companion print, also by Walker, roses in a glass vase.
