This is really one of the most beautiful Catherine Klein prints I have ever had. It has a scarlet burgundy rose paired with bridal roses. The bridal roses have just a blush of pink on them. It is a grand vertical study, the artwork superb and delicately detailed. This print is entitled "Belle Lyonnaise & Jacqueminot Roses", and was made by the Muller Luchsinger Company in 1902. It is an old chromolithograph with rich color hues. This print is an oversize format, measuring 16 x 20 inches, and it will frame up beautifully.

The image area of the print is very good, with very little handling or soiling. To the top left center area, there is a slight wrinkle which lays flat. On the right center is a small dot. There is a little white line just above the first leaves (see pic), and it looks more like a factory mark than a scratch. The edges have the normal wear for a piece over 100 years old. I'd strongly recommend sending this boxed, as the paper is fragile.

You can frame this print with or without the border areas, either way it will be magnificent! Rarely do I get these prints in this large format. Klein was a peer of Paul de Longpre, both of them were active in the Victorian period.
