This fantastic old Fairbanks Fairy calendar is from 1902, and has six fairies on it! Each of them have beautiful faces and gossamer dress, and each holds a little sparkling wand. They also have a little star headband. The colors are beautiful in this one, and I've NEVER had it before, quite RARE. The headbands, wands, calendar borders, and edge of the print are gilded in fine burnished gold. The graphics on this are beautiful too, with roses and holly, interspersed with leaves. It is an old chromolithograph too, and is printed on heavy, pebbly stock paper. The closeup photos appear a little "pebbly", but that's just because they are enlarged so you can see them better.

This is truly a beautiful piece of old Victorian art. The calendar print measures 10 x 13 inches, and it is housed in a protective contemporary frame which has a nice whitewash with gesso relief scroll motif. The overall framed size is aprox 13.5 x 16.5 inches. The calendar is in very good condition, with a small tear center left which only goes into the print about one half inch and lays very flat. If you like, you could always add a mat, and it would hardly show. The corners do have some wear, again, not detracting. This one will go fast, don't let it slip away!
