What a Show Stopper! Incredible 18" E8J

Doesn't this fantastic doll just take your breath away? She is a fully marked E 8 J made by Emile Jumeau circa 1884. I cannot even begin to tell you how incredible her huge deep bulging blue paperweight eyes are! I can say her eyes are certainly the prettiest paperweights I have ever seen! Her bisque is of the highest quality and her painting is very lush and expertly done. She has a closed mouth with a white space between the lips. Her lip color is very soft and subtle. She has applied ears with ear canals. She is incised Depose E8 J on the back of her head. This beauty is without hairlines or repairs. There is a mold flaw on her left ear (in the making) and a tiny flake on her right earring hole. She has a tiny little pinmark on her neck under her chin where a bisque bubble burst (again in the making). There is a light bit of kiln dust on her bisque but this is very common in EJ's and again in the making and does not detract from the quality of the bisque. She has her original cork pate and the most incredible original blond mohair wig ever!

This beauty is on a marked Jumeau body with straight wrists. The body is in excellent condition with just a bit on normal wear on the hands. Seeing beautiful Jumeau bodies like this is what we all look for!

She is wearing a beautiful antique cream silk and lace dress with a beautiful beaded and crewel insert on a pale blue background. Her antique hat is just amazing with tons of lace. She is wearing antique underwear. She also has her original Jumeau shoes and socks! WOW!! What a package!
