Welcome to my shop, where quality & satisfaction is guaranteed. LAYAWAY plans available. All reasonable offers considered.
As you can see, it features a little girl playing a piano, while a young boy leans against it. As you can see, he is dressed in the most fantastic outfit; he’s even wearing what appears to be, a ballet-type shoe. There’s a blue vase filled with pink and white roses, on the piano. In the background, to the side, is French looking screen. There is raised embossing surrounding this, along with raised embossed lavender & purple violets (?). The background color is antique gold metallic.
The back is two-tone green velvet. The spine had the same velvet on it on one time, but as you can see, it is almost completely worn off. The spine does not have any rips or tears.
The gold metal clasp works perfectly. The page edges still retain most of their antique gold edges.
There are 15 pages, with 27 photos inside, most of them cabinet photos. Every page, except the last two, features beautiful lavender flowers & a gold leaf design. The pages are in very good condition, with some torn page slots and age-related darkening.
The first two pages and the last page are tearing away from the spine. They have not come loose from the spine yet, but as you can see by my one of my photos, they are breaking away. If desired, you can add binding tape to reinforce the affected pages.
The overall condition of the celluloid is quite good, with the normal light surface scratches to note. There are no cracks or splits.
The dimensions are: 10 ½” down, 8 ½” across & 1 ¾” deep.
This is truly an outstanding (and heavy) Victorian Celluloid photo album.
