Welcome to my shop, where quality & satisfaction is guaranteed. LAYAWAY plans available. All reasonable offers considered.
Each corner features raised gold embossed detail. As you can see, it also features a portion of a framed picture.
The spine is done in rose, brown & black swirled velvet; it is in excellent condition, with fading & no wear whatsoever.
The back is done in textured burgundy leather, which shows normal scuffs & wear.
The gold metal latch works perfectly. The outer page edges retain their bright gold color.
The first page inside reads: To Papa & Momma from Your Daughter Helen; this is done in blue ink.
There are 10 pages and a total of 19 cabinet photos. It includes many children & family members. All the pages are in excellent condition and show little wear for an album over 100 years old. A few of the pages have the name(s) of the person(s) in the photo; this is done in blue pen.
When you open the album, the spine is loose, so when you close the album, you need to adjust the first page before you close it, so it closes tightly.
The overall condition is quite good, especially considering the age. Besides what I’ve listed above, the only thing to mention is the condition of the celluloid. There are no cracks or splits, only surface scratches & a couple little “dot” indentations. The two corner edges have a bit of celluloid missing off the tips, which is common; I’ve shown a photo of one.
The album measures approximately 10 ½” across, 8 ½ wide & 1 ½” deep.
This Victorian celluloid photo album would be a wonderful addition to any collection.
