You are looking at a rare three page Postcard from H.W. Buckbee Seed Farm. The actual Post Card page reads: “RUSH Your Order for Buckbee’s “Full of Life” Seeds, Plants and Bulbs for 1911”. This page has a one cent stamp along with a postal stamp marked: Feb. 1911, Rockford, ILL. The card is addressed to Mrs. F.M. Stewart, Eagle Point, Oreg. This is written in blue/black ink. The front of the Post Card page shows six small pictures, which are in color, of various fruits, vegetables and flower; all include either women or field workers. The bottom edge of this card features two coupons, No. 1AA & NO. 2BB

The front of the center card is stunning! As you can see, it features a beautifully dressed woman, holding a parasol, standing among vast garden of red American Beauty Roses. The upper left corner shows a close up color picture of one of the roses, along with a caption above it which reads: “Growing Buckbee’s American Beauty Roses”. On the lower right edge, it reads: H.W. Buckbee-Rockford Seed Farms, Forest City Greenhouses-Rockford, ILL. Send for free catalogue”. The back of this card has information regarding the company and how they want your business. There is also a postal stamp which reads: Medford, Oregon, Feb. 5, 1911. There is a time, which I can’t make out.

The last card has information regarding the company, along with a black and white photo of their plant. The caption underneath reads: Bird’s Eye View of Buckbee’s Seed Warehouse and Offices. Capacity 7,000 Orders Daily”. The other side has three illustrations which advertise a new book along with “Free” post cards when the coupon’s are returned with an order for 50 cents or upwards.

Folded up, this postcard measures 3 ˝” X 5 ˝”. Completely open, it measures approx. 10 1/8” across.

The condition is absolutely amazing. Except for a teensy bit of edge wear & scuff mark to the left of the word “Oreg., it’s in perfect condition.

This is certainly a must-have for any advertising or Post Card collector. It’s a real “American Beauty” as well!
