I purchased two salesmen sample hat boxes; the Dobbs’ box is listed in a separate listing. This box has a great look to it; done in glass black cardboard with gold lettering, border & emblems. The lid has a red band around the bottom, which really adds a “pop” to the box. The condition is excellent, with only minor wear. There are a couple light spots on the lid, as seen in my photo. You are looking at a stunning tin/metal advertising plate. As you can see, the entire front is covered in red roses, buds and green leaves. It’s hard to believe this is an advertising plate.
