A nice CDV of General Thomas H. Taylor. One of the Confederacy's Western generals. He fought in Kentucky, Vicksburg, Louisiana, and Mobile. The back mark is "Fisher & Denison, Publishers and Stationers, No. 64 Baltimore St. Baltimore". On the front of the CDV is written in period ink " Gen. Dick Taylor". This is misidentified. This photo is clearly of Thomas Taylor not Dick Taylor. It is hard to find Maryland back marks on Confederate general CDVs.

A nice grouping of two items from George Washington's Revolutionary War headquarters in Newburgh, New York. The first item is a CDV of Washington's headquarters. I can count at least four cannons sitting out in front of the headquarters. Written in pencil on the back of the CDV is "Sept. 7, 1896 - Washington's Headquarters - Newburgh, N.Y. - from George". A great badge from the 1916 United Confederate Veterans reunion held in Birmingham, Alabama. This badge was worn by a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans at the reunion. The badge consists of three pieces. The top hanger has a place for a name but unfortunately is blank. The ribbon is in great condition and is red, white, and red. A nice photograph of Union General William S. Rosencrans. He started his career at West Point and at the start of the Civil War was an aide to General McClellan. The troops nicknamed him "Old Rosey". Primarily Rosencrans fought in the western theatre of the Civil War. Corinth, Iuka, Middle Tennessee campaign, Chattanooga, and Chickamauga were his primary action in the war. There is no back mark on the CDV.

A great badge from a member of the 115 New York Infantry veterans association. This neat badge has a hanger bar where a name could be engraved. This badge is not engraved. There is a very nice red ribbon. Attached to the ribbon is the drop with "115 - 1862 - 1865 - NYV" written on it and a fort and a pair of rifles. On the back of the drop is a bust of Simeon S. Ammons, an officer of the 115 NY. A hard to find veterans badge.

Here is a great 1923 New Orleans SCV Delegate badge! The badge has "Delegate" on the hanger. On the drop is General Lee, Lee's Monument, and the Confederate battle flag. Written on the drop is "S.C.V. - 27th Annual Reunion - New Orleans, 1923". The white in the ribbon is worn. The badge was made by Whitehead and Hoag.

A neat badge from the 1918 Department of New York Grand Army of the Republic State Encampment. The hanger has "Delegate" on it. There is a red ribbon attached to the hanger. On the ribbon is "Fifty Second Annual Encampment - Department of N.Y. - G.A.R. - Ithaca - June 25-26-27, 1918". The writing is somewhat faded. The drop has a celluloid picture of Wm. F. Kirchner who was the New York Department Commander of the Grand Army of the Republic.

A nice CDV of General Richard Stoddert Ewell. The image has a E.& H.T. Anthony, New York back mark. Ewell graduated from West Point in 1840 and spent his entire ante-bellum career in the Southwest, winning a brevet for gallantry in the Mexican War. He resigned the U.S. Army and was made a brigadier general in the Confederate Army. He lost a leg at the battle of Groveton. He led the 2nd Corps from Gettysburg to Spottsylvania. In the spoon is the Snodgrass House and "Chickamauga & Chattanooga Military Nat. Park - Snodgrass House" written in the bowl. The spoon is approximately 5 7/8 inches long. I believe the spoon is silver over brass.

A great badge from the 1900 Department of Michigan Grand Army of the Republic state reunion. This neat badge has a brass hanger with "Grand Rapids" in gold. The ribbon is red, white, and blue. Written on the ribbon is "22nd Annual Encampment Department of Michigan - June 7-8, 1900". The drop has GAR entwined in gold. There is some slight damage to the bottom drop. Please see the photos.

On the front is the summit on Pikes Peak. On the back is written "39th National Encampment G.A.R. - Denver - Sept. 1905 - In Honor of the Brave Men who Victoriously Defended the Union on Land and Sea During the War of the Great Rebellion - 1861-1865".

This large pin has the Stars & Bars, the battle flag, and the third national Confederate flag on the pin. The pin back is from the Mexico, Missouri, United Confederate Veteran's Reunion held Sept. 28-29-1909. It is in real good condition, with hardly no rust , however it has a small dent in the back along the edge but it doesn't show from the front.. On the back it says, STEINER Engraving Badge Co 11 N 89 St. ST.LOUIS MO. The pin is approximately 1 3/4 inches wide.
