Volupte Cigarette Case for Men Original Box 50’s

This is the first time I’ve run across a man’s cigarette case and what a nice one it is. It is made by Volupte. The metal looks like brushed brass on the outside but the back of the cardboard box is stamped Sterling Silver and the numbers 41 and 8229. Maybe it’s gold plated, I’m just not sure but I’ve provided a picture of the stamp.

Condition is excellent and doesn’t appear to have been used. There are a few light scratches. The measurements are approximately 3 ¾” x 6”. The case has a curved shaped to it.

The smokes keeper still has the burgundy felt bag to protect the case. The lid pictures the case opened and closed and says “Curv-Case by Volupte, the Body-Shaped Cigarette Case for Men”. Volupte is written in the inside of the lid and Volupte U.S.A. is incised on the front of the bands that hold the cigarettes inside. The push snap closure works perfectly.

This would be a great addition for tobacciana collectors to have. It’s a lovely piece of memorabilia made especially for the distinguished gentleman of the 50’s and “very collectible”.
