Oval Porcelain Pendant of Scenic Courting Couple in Field

Here is a lovely piece of jewelry depicting a courting couple walking in a field. It measures 1 ¾” x 1 ½”. It is in good condition with a few scratches on the back. I do not find any maker’s mark.

The pendant looks like a fancy picture frame. The ornate black enameling around the scene has tiny yellow flowers on it. The acorn or fleur de lis bale adds to its beauty. The people appear to be hand painted on porcelain.

It’s got a nice rich look and the diamond cut gold around the enamel sparkles in the light. Lovers of vintage jewelry can never have enough and consider it “very collectible”.
