RENOIR SAUTEUR Sterling Silver Modernist COMET Pin

This mid-century sterling silver Modernist comet pin by Renoir is from their Sauteur line, a special series they made in very limited numbers. The polished cosmic swirl measures 3” across and 1 7/16” high. The domed silver oval at the tail is textured and patinated to resemble wood graining.

The back of the brooch is signed “Sterling, Sauteur, Renoir.” The pin has a safety clasp and a protective finish to repel tarnish. I think it can be worn at just about any angle so you can make your own artistic statement in the Modernist manner.
