This sleek and sensuous hand-cut and pierced Arts & Crafts sterling pendant is inset with an oval cabochon of opaque deep blue/cream gemstone, probably sodalite. This circa 1900 pendant is 2 1/8” long and has raised centers in the scrolls above and below the gemstone, hand-hammered from the back. “Sterling” is stamped on the reverse.

I added a 26" twisted, interwoven link sterling chain with spring-hook clasp. The tab is stamped marked “Milor, B&B, Made in Italy” on the two sides. The pendant and chain are in excellent condition; I have left the finish of the pedant as found as collectors often prefer this. The piece is distinctive and speaks very strongly to the time when hand-crafted silver jewelry featuring the bounty of nature’s more unusual gemstones was prized, as it still is, a century later.
