Vintage 14K Gold Ruby & Diamond Moderne Stripes Ring

This vintage 14K yellow gold ring is set with diamonds and rubies in a pattern resembling diagonal bands of ribbon. The gem mounting of the ring is 9/16” and ½” wide. The diamonds are set in white gold and the rubies are prong-set in yellow gold and are set higher than the diamonds. The rubies have very rich fuchsia-red saturation. On each side, the ring band is split at the shoulders—a visual extension of two prongs—and is solid at the back; size is 6.

The inside of the ring is stamped “14KP” (P indicating plumb gold, not plating) and the hallmark looks like “SBT.” The rind is in wonderful condition and has a simple and timeless design that is appropriate for any age.
