A beautiful Russian Lacquer box shaped like a violin and handpainted on both sides. Depicted are scenes from a Russian fairytale, probably Vasilisa the Beautiful.

These violin boxes started being produced in the 1980's. The quality of the painting on this piece is excellent as is the condition with no damage whatsoever. The piece is signed by the artist and has the village name and the name of the fairy tale.

This is a very special piece especially because of the paintings on both sides and the wonderful lacquer work.

It measures 8 inches by 3 by 1 inch. Shipping is 8.00 including insurance.
