Here is a lovely old Goofus Glass Shallow bowl with brilliant red Irises and gold background.

Many times the red in the iris is worn away, but here the irises are in good condition. There has been wearing of the gold around the trim. See my photo into the sun to show the missing gold.

Without a doubt, a beautiful reminder of a different time. There 4 irises and a center iris in relief and a scalloped edge.

This shallow bowl measures 11" and may have been produced by Northwood Glass. Northwood was an early producer of Goofus glass from 1897 until 1910.
