Holidays are here! 1000's of Customers rave about how fast we ship and how well we pack your treasure!
Composed of three tapering cylindrical sections, set with stones, fitted with a door and a fourth section which hold the spice chamber.
The tower sits on a square raised base with delicate twisted wire decoration.
There are four levels, each slightly smaller than the one below. Each level is adorned with three blue jewels which could be light sapphires or blue tourmalines. The way they are carefully mounted, I do not believe they are rhinestones.
Each level is trimmed with a wave and ring railing. The top level is open wire fretwork and topped with a banner flag.
The top is easily removed. There is also a little door at the base.
The item measures 7 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" square at the base.
There is a hallmark at the base, presumably Israeli. I believe this spice tower to be silver. Again, according to my information this piece is marked on the bottom of the tower with "Bezalel" in Hebrew and 835
This wondrous piece was probably made by the a silversmith, Shabtai Braun, at the New Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem in the 1940's.
There is no damage bends or breaks, missing pieces or repairs.
Please write for additional information. I continue to research this very special item.
