This glorious sea shell brooch, adorned with marcasite and enamel, is vintage 1950's-1960's, signed Alice Caviness Sterling Silver, Germany. The scallop shell is executed to perfection with its fine, variegated blue to white enameling, slender veins of sterling, 3-dimensional marcasite, as well as the dainty pearl, set like a treasure inside an oyster shell.

Shell pin measures 1 1/8" inches X 1 1/4" inches. It is in excellent condition, with extremely minor wear to the enamel, only visible upon magnification. Pin is in fine working order.

This is a collectible book piece and difficult to find.
