UK jewelry maker, Sphinx really outdid themselves on this stunning, three-dimensional, floral figural brooch. The gold tone and aurora borealis stones are so mint-y, it looks brand new! The composition style reminds me of designer Boucher.

The swoop-y flower petals are embedded with brilliant marquis navette aurora borealis stones – in 3 jewel tones of blue, a deep ocean blue and a teal-ish blue, which sparkle with changing overtones of green and pink (for the light blue stones).

The shiny and ribbed, gold tone, crescent moon center pops from the petals, delivering a cascade of twisted tendrils of leaves, alternating from shiny gold to textured, ribbed gold – and all with etched veins of the leaf. The piece is finally balanced by the sway of the tubular flower stem. What a masterpiece for Sphinx!

The brooch measures 2 1/4" wide and 2 5/8" inches tall, from the top petal to the bottom of the stem. Pin back is in perfect working order. Condition is near mint.
