The pin is very lightweight, has fine-detailed engraving or etching on the silver mask, and boasts obviously hand crafted elements, from the dangling charms to the large sterling pin plate.
The plate measures 3 1/2" inches at its widest point, and 2 1/4" inches from the top of the "horns" to the base of the plate. The charms dangle down as low as 3 1/4" inches below the pin plate. A new 1 1/2" wide pin was sautered in place by a jeweler, to replace the original, broken pin clasp. Otherwise, this piece is in its original, intact condition. Not sure as to the date of the piece, but the etching style is reminiscent of Art Nouveau.
