Here is a fantastic pair of vintage Modernist Taxco sterling silver and brass fish bone articulated earrings....Quite difficult to find. I have seen the pin that matches these earrings just once.

These whimsical earrings feature a skeletal, dangling fish with a big round eye, an open mouth, and carved fish scales on the tail. They are jointed by a jump ring between the body and head for great movement...a style so much like the wearable art movement of the 1940's and 50's.

This pair dangles from french hooks for pierced ears. The earrings are hallmarked 925 TM-92 Mexico as shown in the zoomed photograph. They are in excellent condition with no damage or defects.

Each earring weighs 8 grams and measures 1 3/4" long and 3/4" wide, at its widest point. The sterling and brass have been protectively polished to a clean shine.
