SOLD Avon 1993 book piece ~ Marcasite & ruby rhinestone Christmas tree pin

This is an unusual tree. It's the first one I've seen that has marcasite. Love the ruby colored rhinestones with the marcasite on the silver tone tree. It is signed "Avon" and dates to 1993. These older ones are fairly difficult to find.

The Avon line of Christmas tree pins are becoming more and more collectible. I've attached some pictures of other Avon trees for your perusal - listed in order from 2004-2007. I will be listing the Avon 2006 tree that I have in stock.

This is a book piece Christmas tree pin for Avon, shown on page 18 of Mary Morrision's book, 'Christmas Jewelry' and page 43 of Jill Gallina's book, 'Christmas Pins:Pins & Present'.

This Victorian-style tree measures 2 1/4" tall by 2" wide at its widest point at the bottom of the tree. The pin mechanism is in fine working order. Condition is excellent.
