This darling R&B composition doll is 16" tall, and was manufactured in the 1940’s by Arranbee Doll Company. She is signed on the back of her neck, “R & B,” and is known as “Little Angel Baby.” She’s in nice condition for her age, and is wearing her original dress and bloomers. This is her detailed description:

HEAD: Her head’s in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs, or repaint. She has a few light craze lines on her face, and faint spiderweb crazing that‘s not visible in the photos. She has brown sleep eyes. One eye is clear, but the other is crazed. She has full upper eyelashes on the left eye, and about half on the right eye. Her painted lower eyelashes are vivid, and so are her eyebrows and lips. She has the original eyeshadow above her eyes. She has brown painted hair with molded curls around her face. There are a few little rubs on the back of her head.

BODY: Her original body is made of cloth with composition lower arms and lower legs. The cloth part of the body’s in nice clean condition, and has a nonworking crier in the back. The body is gusseted at the hips, so she sits well. The composition arms and legs have no chips, cracks, repairs, or repaint…..just some craze lines. All fingers and toes are intact. She has cute dimples at the knees, and the original factory blush.

CLOTHES: She’s wearing her original dress & bloomers. The dress is white cotton with a red flowered bodice & cuffs. There’s pretty detailing on the skirt. The dress never had any closures. Her white bloomers feel like silk. They have an elasticized waist.
