This beautiful character doll is a 14” Kammer & Reinhardt #126. She was manufactured by the German firm of Kammer & Reinhardt, also known as K*R, in the early 1900’s. She has a perfect German bisque socket head that’s signed on the back, “K*R, Simon & Halbig, Germany, 126.” Her original baby body is all-composition. Her brown human hair wig and pate are old, but not original. She’s sweetly dressed in a vintage dress, original onesie w/attached slip, newer socks, shoes and bonnet. This is her detailed description:

HEAD: Her bisque socket head is PERFECT, with NO hairlines, chips, cracks or repairs…..not even a cheek rub. What you see on her forehead are just stray hairs. There are (2) little pepper spots on her forehead that are smaller than the head of a pin. She has beautiful brown sleep eyes, and the original eyewax. Her painted upper & lower eyelashes are painted at a slant. Her eyebrows are well-painted and feathered. She has an open mouth, with (2) upper teeth, and a red tongue. Her lips are nicely painted, with no rubs. She has nice quality bisque, and beautiful coloring. Her cheek blush is nice and even. She’s wearing a brown toddler-style human hair wig. The wig and pate are old, but not original. (the wig seems a little small)

BODY: Her original composition baby body is jointed at the shoulders and hips. The body is nice and sturdy, with all fingers and toes intact. The fingers and toes still have the original red factory lines. A few fingers have minor wear. There is chipping at the neck, which is pictured. There is a reinforced crack on the left leg (see photo); otherwise the body is all original finish.

CLOTHES: Her onesie with attached slip looks original. Her dress is vintage, and her shoes, socks, and bonnet are newer. Her sweet vintage dress is high-waisted with elasticized sleeves. There is pink rickrack trim at the collar, cuffs, and waist. The dress closes in back with (2) little snaps. Her original off-white onesie is adorable! It’s high-waisted, with dainty lace at the sleeves and hem. The attached half-slip is trimmed with a wide row of lace. The onesie closes in back with a large snap. The onesie has a tear on the front bodice, and the elastic at the legs is shot. She’s wearing newer white knit stockings, and little slip-on shoes w/lace trim. We added a newish pink satin bonnet with white lace trim and white ribbon ties.
