This 19.5” beauty is a Kestner #154 from the late 1800’s. She was manufactured by the German firm of J. D. Kestner. She’s signed on the back of her head, “7.154.DEP.” She has a perfect German bisque shoulderhead and her original kid leather body with cloth lower legs and perfect bisque arms. The body has some repairs. She’s wearing a long blonde human hair wig. Her pretty white vintage dress has eyelet & lace trim. She’s also wearing a silk slip, original knee-high stockings, vintage white leather shoes, and a vintage white cotton poke bonnet. This is her detailed description:

(A 2-payment plan is available on this doll)

HEAD: Her bisque shoulderhead is perfect, with NO hairlines, chips, cracks or repairs. There are two minor scratches up near the rim. (this most likely occurred when her wig was removed) She has beautiful coloring, and nice even cheek blush. Her bisque is very nice quality. She has beautiful blue eyes that sleep perfectly. Her original eyewax has some chipping. She has an open mouth with (4) upper teeth. Her upper & lower eyelashes are nicely painted at a slant. Her eyebrows are molded, and beautifully painted & feathered. There are remnants of her original plaster pate at the rim. She’s wearing a long blonde human hair wig that really suits her.

BODY: The body is made of sawdust-filled leather, with cloth lower legs, and perfect bisque lower arms. The body has rivets at the hips, enabling her to sit well. The body is sturdy, with some age wear. There are several tape repairs to prevent leaking sawdust. The taped areas are at one shoulder, one elbow, and particularly at both knees. (see body photo) There is some reinforced stitching at the shoulders. Her bisque lower arms have some fading, but the arms are perfect, with no chips or cracks.

CLOTHES: Her beautiful white vintage dress is in excellent condition. The dress has nice details, including lace trim at the neck, and a row of lace at the hem. There’s wide eyelet trim at the hem and sleeves, and lilac insertion ribbon on the sleeves. The dress closes in back with a button & loop at the neck. Her off-white full slip is soft silk, and has white lace trim at the neck & arms. The slip looks newer, and it closes in back with a snap. Her brown knee-high fishnet stockings are nice, and may be original. Her vintage white leather shoes tie in the center. The shoes are in nice sturdy condition. Her white cotton poke bonnet suits her. The bonnet is trimmed with white lace and lilac trim. The cloth ties are lilac, and are fraying.
