USPC “Crest” Playing Cards, c.1934

Exceptional set of “Crest” cards, a brand made by United States Playing Card Co. This particular deck dates c.1934 (USPC #T1933), but I can find no mention of this brand in Dawson/Hochman, and am unsure how long it was manufactured by USPC. [I believe that this brand is different than anything made by Crest Card Co. or Crest Playing Card Co.] This is the only USPC “Crest” deck I have seen, and because it is not mentioned in Dawson/Hochman, I am inclined to think it is relatively rare.

It has 52 cards, including a unique Ace of Spades, plus one Joker, also unique, plus an unbacked insert card with auction and contract bridge scoring. The cards are bridge size, measuring 90mm x 58mm, with gold gilt around. They are in the original box.

The cards are in “as new” condition, with approximately 90% of the gold gilt intact. The box is in excellent condition, with only minor signs of age and wear.
