Rare and completely delightful double deck of transformation cards made by or for a company that called itself "Ink, Inc.," c.1983. The 4 suits and the 2 Jokers of the decks were designed by 5 New Yorker cartoonists: William Steig (Hearts), Lee Lorenz (Clubs), Roz Chast (Diamonds), Arnie Levin (Spades), and Jack Ziegler (Jokers, card backs). As you might expect, these cards are very funny.

There are 52 cards in each deck, plus the 2 Ziegler Jokers, and a backed insert card that identifies the artists involved; each has signed next to the suit that he/she designed. In addition, the four Aces and both Jokers are also signed. Although the card player on the Ziegler backs appears to be playing poker, these are bridge size cards (90mm x 58mm). They are in their original, marked hard plastic box.

The cards are in mint condition. One deck is still wrapped, and the other is “as new.” The box is in excellent condition, with cloudy spots in a couple of places, but without damage of any kind.
