Fabulous ivory celluloid Christmas cathedral that is battery operated and lights up. It also contains a wind up music box that plays Silent Night. The church windows are lined with red and green patterned cellophane that give the look of stained glass. The design detail is beautiful. The back is marked ‘Oversea Hongkong T1034 Made in Hong Kong’. The light bulb is a flashlight bulb. There is also a hatch on the bottom that opens for inserting C-size batteries. The previous owner wrote her name on the bottom ‘Fannie Mae Utter’.
Condition of this church is very good with no damage other than I suspect there was originally a cross on top of the steeple. The tall portion of the steeple comes apart for storage/changing the light bulb. Someone made black marks on the pieces on the back side (pictured) so they could be aligned for re-assembly. Measurements are 15 ½” tall by 7 ½” wide by 5 ¼” deep.
Batteries not included.
