Silver-plate water serving pitcher with tipper is Victorian elegance! Four piece water tipper set has beautifully polished and ornately engraved pattern along base and tops, with chased flower and fern etched surfaces. Condition is EXCELLENT and would be right at home in any palace. There is only one spot of plate loss on surface of spout, a small crack in the weld of the hinge on the lid of the pitcher, some spots on the under plate and loss to insides of pitcher and chalice (inside surfaces are smooth and clean). Three of the four pieces are signed with the Hartford Silver Plate Co., Deer logo and Quad Plate on bottoms, EXCEPT for the under plate which may or may not be original to this set. The same three pieces are numbered 1268 or 1368. HARTFORD SILVER PLATE CO was listed as being in business from 1881 through 1893, Hartford Ct. There are very few of these sets to be found and I have never come across one in this fine of a condition. Fully assembled it stands 21.25" tall. Base of stand is 8.75" by 12 1/8". Total weight of 9 lbs. The lid and the cup are elegantly engraved with the word 'SENN'.
