Antiques:Glass
Victorian era hand vase with ruffled top, holding cornucopia. Rough pontil on bottom with indistinguishable mark, letters. Glass is fairly thick and fragile, shows random tiny bubbles throughout and straw marks. Paint is still intact, although it shows some wear. Bottom of base is somewhat uneven and vase rocks slightly. 10.25" high. Hand vases made during the Victorian were often hand painted at home. This one does have a makers mark, however it is impossible to make out.

Brass tabletop photo frame with extravagant, flowing leaf edges and Greek key border around photo opening which is 3.75" x 5.5". Outside opening at largest is 12" high by 8.5" wide. Back has a swing type support to hold picture upright and the number 118 is stamped on top. There is a photo of a child mounted on pressed board backing with glass, photo is dated on back with the name and date of 1887 or 1889. Photo is damaged. L. J. Masquelier, 1772 engraved hand colored intaglio print after neo-classical artist Le Barbier titled "La Lecon", (The Lesson)?. Print is 4.5" x 5", frame is 9.25" wide by 9.75" high. Scene depicts French woman showing either a painting or needlework of a peacock to gentleman. Gilt frame with velvet border. Velvet shows some worn areas. Some wear to frame. Crisp, clear picture with some yellowing, no spots.
