Hand-Embroidered Folk Art Tablecloth

This interesting cloth is colorfully hand-embroidered on burlap. The thread is commercial embroidery floss. The stitching is simple yet elegant, and the design has a bold, ethnic look. The edge is trimmed with ball fringe that has been applied by machine. This piece measures 40" X 41." It is in perfect, never-used condition. It is probably from the 1960's.
