SALE Linen Bridge Cloth and Napkin Set with Appliques

Dating from the 1920's, this 36" square cloth was used on a card table. It has four 11" napkins that match. It also could have been used as a tea cloth. The linen is a fine madeira quality with hand-embroidery so fine that it seems to have been done by machine. There are pink and green appliqued flowers providing some color to the white-on-white design. The scalloped edges are finished by hand with an overcast stitch. There are two small brown marks on the cloth; these are from being stored for years in a wooden chest. The set is in excellent condition; it has been starched and ironed and is ready to use.
